2014-08-24 RMMG Series MELF Type Metal Glaze Film Cylindrical Resistor

BREA ---  The Trigon RMMG Series MELF (metal electrode leadless face) metal glaze film cylindrical resistors typically have low failure rates because of their excellent solderability, due to specially plated electrodes. Also, they have better moisture resistance, higher electrode strength, and lower current noise, than thick film flat chip resistors. Also, due to its cylindrical design, it allows more flexibility and freedom for the direction of mounting on the PCB.

Resistance options vary from 100k Ohms to 1M Ohms, with available tolerances of +/-2% (G), +/-5% (J). Power rating options include 1/4W (Max Working Voltage: 500 V), 1/2W (Max Working Voltage: 500V), 1W (Max Working Voltage: 700 V), 2W (Max Working Voltage: 800V), and 3W (Max Working Voltage: 900 V). All options have a maximum overload voltage of 1000V. For permissible pulse voltages: 1/4W (3kV from 100k Ohms to 1M Ohms, 4kV from 1.1M Ohms to 6.2M Ohms, and 5kV for greater than 6.8M Ohms), 1/2W (3kV from 100k Ohms to 1M Ohms, 4kV from 1.1M Ohms to 6.2M Ohms, and 6kV for greater than 6.8M Ohms), 1W (4kV from 100k Ohms to 1M Ohms, 5kV from 1.1M Ohms to 6.2M Ohms, and 8kV for greater than 6.8M Ohms), 2W (5kV from 100k Ohms to 1M Ohms, 6kV from 1.1M Ohms to 6.2M Ohms, and 9kV for greater than 6.8M Ohms), and 3W (6kV from 100k Ohms to 1M Ohms, 7kV from 1.1M Ohms to 6.2M Ohms, and 10kV for greater than 6.8M Ohms). Packaging styles are available in bulk or tape and reel.
