2015-09-17 ETCM has been successfully tested for USB3.1

 Taipei --- In the recent debut of USB3.1, the data transmission speed is increased from the popular USB2.0’s 480 Mbps to the blazing-fast 10 Gbps. This represents a 20-fold increase over the previous speed, making transferring big file a snap. However, along with the increased data transmission speed, the frequencies of the signals transmitted to the signal lines have also become higher such that the common mode choke used in the past now find it difficult to deal with the noise issues while maintaining a satisfactory signal quality.

In response to the challenge, Trigon Components has developed a new common-mode filter with the industry leading cutoff frequency of 10 GHz, enabling it to efficiently reduce high frequency noise emissions. The high cutoff frequency of the new filter ensures that no signal degradation occurs when the filter is used in communication circuits for super high-speed interfaces such as Thunderbolt, USB 3.1, and Serial-ATA (Gen III), making it an ideal choice for the ever faster electronic devices with high signal transfer speeds.

Today, we are excited to announce that ETCM-0805W900T has been successfully tested for USB3.1 application. A new Trigon ETCM-U series has been created for this new line of super high speed filter.
